| 1 | Open trunk lid | ||
| 2 | Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) | ||
| 3 | Remove trunk floor paneling (5) | ||
| 4 | Remove spare tire well panel | ||
| 5 | Unscrew nuts (4) | ||
| 6 | Positioning trunk lid to assembly position | Do not install support. |

| 8 | Remove rear center section paneling (2) | ||
| 9 | Disconnect electrical connector from trunk socket (X58/4) | ||
| 10 | Disconnect electrical connector from charger feed power outlet (X58/23) | Vehicles with CODE 675 (preinstallation for battery charger) | |
| 11 | Remove rear center section paneling (2) | ||
| 12 | Open trunk lid | ||
| 13 | Remove trunk socket (X58/4) | When replacing rear center section paneling (2). | AR54.10-P-1000RK |
| 14 | Release charger feed socket (X58/23) and remove | Vehicles with CODE 675 (preinstallation for battery charger) When replacing rear center section paneling (2). |
