	Remove/install
1	Perform initial startup of overhead control panel control unit (N70) using STAR DIAGNOSIS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory	Only when replacing overhead control panel control unit (N70).	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Open Vario roof
3	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)	KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) only with CODE 889 (KEYLESS-GO).
4	Detach left and right trim on inside of A-pillar from overhead control panel control unit (N70)	Only perform the operation steps that are required to detach the A-pillar trim in the area of the overhead control panel control unit (N70).	AR68.30-P-4050RK
5	Unclip bottom cover (1) and remove	Mounting wedge	Figure
6	Unclip top cover (2) and remove	Hook in catch hooks (arrows A) of top cover (2) at overhead control panel control unit (N70) (arrows B), swivel top cover (2) upwards and engage. Mounting wedge	Figure
7	Open eyeglasses compartment flap (4) and remove screws/bolts (3)
8	Unclip overhead control panel control unit (N70) toward bottom
9	Disconnect electrical connectors (5) and remove overhead control panel control unit (N70)
10	Install in the reverse order
