	Remove/install
1	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and perform initial startup of headlamp control unit (N71/1) Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory	When replacing headlamp control unit (N71/1).	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Move driver seat to rearmost position
3	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)	KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) only with code (889) KEYLESS-GO.
4	Remove cover below dashboard		AR68.10-P-1500RK
5	Release cover (3) from steering column tube module (2)	To do so, press the cover's (3) frame (1) off the steering column tube module (2). For a better view of the headlamp control unit (N71/1). Long wedge	Fig 2
6	Disconnect electrical connector (4)
7	Remove bolts (5)
8	Remove headlamp control unit (N71/1)
9	Install in the reverse order
