	Remove
1	Move back driver seat and front passenger seat
2	Disconnect battery ground line
			AR54.10-P-0003RK
3	Detach front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module
			AR54.21-P-1261RK
4	Unclip trim piece (2)	Mounting wedge	Figure
5	Detach door seal from entrance area at left and right
6	Unclip longitudinal member panel (3) at left and right in area of door sill (4) at left and right

7	Remove door sill (4) at left and right	The door sills (4) are no longer required.
8	Remove cover below left and right instrument panel
9	Fold over floor mat (1) at left and right
10	Remove trim (5) below steering column

	Install
11	Mount left illuminated door sill molding and right illuminated door sill molding		AZ82.20-P-0001-01RK
		New passenger car wiring harness repair kit	Figure
12	Retrofit wiring harness for illuminated door sill moldings		AZ82.20-P-0001-04RK
		Wring harness repair kit, basic	Figure
		New passenger car wiring harness repair kit	Figure
13	Install remaining parts
14	Enter special equipment in online vehicle data card via vehicle documentation system (VeDoc)	Add: Code U25 (Illuminated door sill)
15	Document retrofitted equipment through VeDoc	Attach note "Illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AZ82.20-0001RK".
16	Connect diagnostic system and select vehicle via the vehicle identification number (VIN)
17	Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN)	Front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module.
18	Disconnect diagnostic system
19	Perform function check on illuminated door sill moldings	Opening the doors activates the illuminated door sill moldings.
20	Remove protective foil from illuminated door sill moldings
