Remove/Install Automatic Transmission Oil Pump From Housing - AR27.10-P-0400-02EWM

Remove oil pump 

  1. Attach upright M8 (07) and upright M6 (08) of SPECIAL TOOL removal and installation tool (11) as shown.
  2. Transmission 725.1 Fasten upright M8 (07) to adapter housing (15) using a nut (14).
  3. Insert thrust piece (05) into clamping pliers (02) and secure using spring pin (04).
  4. Place bridge (01) and secure with knurled nut (12).
  5. Place thrust piece (05) on the oil pump (10) by turning it at the spindle (03).

    NOTES Make sure that the thrust piece (05) is correctly seated. Otherwise the oil pump (10) can be damaged.

  6. Press oil pump (10) downward up to end stop by turning it at the spindle (03).
  7. Remove retaining ring (13).
  8. Unlock spring pin (04) and remove thrust piece (05) out of clamping pliers (02).
  9. Place clamping pliers (02) onto drive of oil pump (10) and secure with spring pin (04).
    1. Transmission 725.0 Pull oil pump (10) out of torque converter housing (1) by turning it at the spindle (03).
    2. Transmission 725.1 Pull oil pump (10) out of adapter housing (15) by turning at the spindle (03).
  11. Remove bridge (01) with oil pump (10).
  12. Unlock clamping sleeve (04) and pull out oil pump (10) from compression spring.

    Install oil pump 

  13. Insert oil pump (10).

    IMPORTANT Apply oil to O-rings of oil pump (10).

    IMPORTANT Transmission 725.0 The markings (arrow) on the oil pump (10) and on the torque converter housing (1) must face towards each other when being assembled.

    IMPORTANT Transmission 725.1 The markings (arrow) on the oil pump (10) and on the adapter housing (15) must face towards each other when being assembled.

  14. Insert thrust piece (05) into clamping pliers (02) and secure using spring pin (04).
  15. Place bridge (01) and secure with knurled nut (12).
  16. Place thrust piece (05) on the oil pump (10) by turning it at the spindle (03).

    NOTES Make sure that the thrust piece (05) is correctly seated. Otherwise the oil pump (10) can be damaged.

  17. Press oil pump (10) downward up to end stop by turning it at the spindle (03).
  18. Install retaining ring (13).
  19. Remove thrust piece (05) from the oil pump (10) by turning it at the spindle (03).

  20. Transmission 725.1 Remove nut (14) from upright M8 (07).
  21. SPECIAL TOOL Remove removal and installation tool (11).
