CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.		 AS00.40-Z-0001-01A

Cleaning 

  1. Clean area around the oil level screw (3).

    Remove 

  2. Remove oil level screw (3) with crash stop plug from transfer case.

    IMPORTANT Dispose of old oil level screw (3).

    Check 

  3. Check crash stop plug for damage and wear.

    If a problem occurs:

    ↓

    Replace crash stop plug.

    Install 

  4. Screw the SPECIAL TOOL adapter (4) with the sealing ring (5) into the threaded hole of the oil level screw (3).

    Pour in 

  5. Fill transfer case gear oil through the SPECIAL TOOL adapter (4) in the threaded hole of the oil level screw (3) using SPECIAL TOOL hand pump into the transfer case, until excess transfer case gear oil runs out of the SPECIAL TOOL adapter (4) FLUID SPECIFICATION .

    Remove 

  6. Remove SPECIAL TOOL adapter (4) with the sealing ring (5) from the threaded hole of the oil level screw (3).

    Cleaning 

  7. Clean threaded hole of the oil level screw (3).

    Install 

  8. Tighten new oil level screw (3) on transfer case TORQUE SPECIFICATION .

    NOTES Replace oil level screw (3) each time it is unscrewed.

    Otherwise, leaks and consequential damage may occur.

  9. Fit crash stop plug over the oil level screw (3) on transfer case.
