Install Reinforcement Of Inner C-Pillar Sidewall - Ar63.10-P-0700-08LFS

Model 222 

with code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) 

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Install reinforcement on inner C-pillar side wall (2), C-pillar and rear fender with portal bracket and fit.
2. Fix reinforcement on inner C-pillar side wall (2) in place.
3. Remove portal bracket, rear fender and C-pillar.
4. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in inner C-pillar side wall (1) and reinforcement on inner C-pillar side wall (2) (areas A, C and D).

   Only if a riveter for punching and flow form rivets is not used for installation.

   Drill rivet holes from inside through present holes in body (areas A and C).

5. Countersink rivet holes on inner C-pillar side wall (1) (area D).

   Only if a riveter for punching and flow form rivets is not used for installation.

   Countersink rivet holes to create level surface when riveting.

   Otherwise the rear fender cannot be installed correctly.

6. Remove reinforcement on inner C-pillar side wall (2).
7. Deburr rivet holes on inner C-pillar side wall (1), reinforcement on inner C-pillar side wall (2) and deburr body on both sides.
8. Remove drilling chips.

9. Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of adhesive.

10. Apply 2-component adhesive to reinforcement in crosshatched areas and inner C-pillar side wall (2).

    Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of adhesive.

11. Install reinforcement on inner C-pillar side wall (2), fit and fix in place.
12. Rivet reinforcement (2) with Ø 6.4x12 rivet (area E).

    Flow-form rivets with a clamping range of up to 3.5 mm "S1" can also be used, if a riveter for self-piercing and flow-form rivets is used for installation.

13. Rivet inner C-pillar side wall (1) and reinforcement on inner C-pillar side wall (2) with Ø 6.4x12 rivet (area G).

    Flow-form rivets with a clamping range of up to 3.5 mm "S1" can also be used, if a riveter for self-piercing and flow-form rivets is used for installation.

14. Rivet inner C-pillar side wall (1) and reinforcement on inner C-pillar side wall (2) with Ø 6.4x14 countersunk head rivet (area H).

    Flow-form rivets with a clamping range of up to 3.5 mm "S1" can also be used, if a riveter for self-piercing and flow-form rivets is used for installation.
