	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Remove, install bottom hinge (1)
1	Remove front door		AR72.10-P-0500LF
2	Mark installation position of bottom A-pillar hinge leaf (1.1) and bottom door hinge leaf (1.2)
3	Remove door sill molding (3)
4	Remove edge guard (4) in area of side floor covering (5) from body flange
5	Fold footrest floor covering (6) toward rear
6	Remove cover (7)
7	Detach side floor covering (5) from A-pillar and fold over
8	Unclip instrument panel fuse box (F1/6) from A-pillar and lay down to side with electrical lines connected
9	Press insulating mat (8) to side until cap (9) is accessible
10	Remove cap (9)	: Before installing cap (9): ↓ Install front door and adjust

11	Unscrew nuts (10) and remove bottom A-pillar hinge leaf (1.1)	Nut, hinge to A-pillar	*BA72.10-P-1002-01V
12	Unscrew bolts (11) and remove bottom door hinge leaf (1.2)	Bolt, hinge to front door	*BA72.10-P-1001-01V
13	Install bottom hinge (1) in reverse order
	Remove, install top hinge (2)
14	Move steering wheel all the way to the rear
15	Remove front door		AR72.10-P-0500LF
16	Mark installation position of top A-pillar hinge leaf (2.1) and top door hinge leaf (2.2)
17	Remove left and right cover (12) from instrument panel
18	Remove trim from left and right A-pillar	Model 222.0/1 except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)	AR68.30-P-4050LF
19	Remove cover beneath dashboard (left)	Model 222.0/1 except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)	AR68.10-P-1500LF
20	Remove steering column tube module		AR54.25-P-2802LF
21	Remove center dashboard cover (13)	Model 222.0/1 except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)	AR68.10-P-3430LF
22	Remove insulation mat from instrument panel top section (14)	The insulation mat is located below the previously remove center instrument panel cover (13).
23	Remove center instrument panel tweeter (H4/76)	Model 222 with code 811 (High-End sound system) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Passenger side
24	Remove center instrument panel speaker (H4/27)	Model 222 with code 348 (Emergency call/assistant system) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Passenger side Model 222 with code 350 (Ecall emergency call system, Europe) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Passenger side Model 222 with code 810 (Premium sound system) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Passenger side Model 222 with code 811 (High-End sound system) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Passenger side
25	Remove display module		AR54.30-P-6023LF
26	Remove front passenger airbag unit	Model 222.0/1 except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)	AR91.60-P-0680LF
27	Remove trim piece from driver and passenger side instrument panel	Model 222.0/1 except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)	AR68.10-P-1180LF
28	Open stowage compartment or ashtray (15)	Stowage compartment or ashtray (15) according to equipment.
29	Remove caps (16) and unscrew bolts below
30	Pull stowage compartment or ashtray (15) approx. 2 cm from instrument panel
31	Remove screws/bolts (17)
32	Remove instrument panel top section (14) from instrument panel crossmember with aid of helper from vehicle	Carefully handle instrument panel top section (14). Otherwise the instrument panel top section (14) and the adjacent components in the vehicle can be damaged. : Ensure that the footwell ventilation air duct (22) is seated correctly. When positioning instrument panel top section (14) on crossmember, guide electrical lines through corresponding openings in instrument panel top section (14).
33	Remove air distributor (18)	: Ensure that air distributor (18) is arrested and seated correctly.
34	Remove air duct (18.1)
35	Remove cover (19)	: Before installing cover (19):
		Install front door and adjust	AR72.10-P-0500LF
36	Unscrew nuts (20) and remove top A-pillar hinge leaf (2.1)	Helper required to hold top A-pillar hinge leaf (2.1).
		Nut, hinge to A-pillar	*BA72.10-P-1002-01V
37	Unscrew bolts (21) and remove top door hinge leaf (2.2)	Bolt, hinge to front door	*BA72.10-P-1001-01V
38	Install top hinge (2) in reverse order
