1	Check gap dimensions at rear door (1)		AR60.00-P-0700-01LF
		Front/rear door to roof paneling, side	*BE60.00-P-1009-01BA

		Rear door to side section, bottom	*BE60.00-P-1012-01BA
		Front door cover to rear door cover	*BE60.00-P-1013-01BA

	Remove
2	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key
3	Detach upper paneling (2) from B-pillar and lay down to side		AR68.30-P-4700LF
		Do not remove belt end fitting.
4	Remove lower trim (3) on B-pillar		AR68.30-P-4700LF
5	Remove soundproofing (4) from B-pillar
6	Pivot air duct (5) to side and toward front until bolts (6) on automatic belt retractor (8) are accessible	Do not pivot air duct (5) too far. Otherwise the air duct (5) may kink.
7	Remove screws/bolts (6) from belt retractor (8)
8	Guide seat belt retractor (8) out of B-pillar	Do not disconnect electrical connector (7), if necessary expose wiring harness. Ensure that seat belt does not roll up.
9	Pivot seat belt retractor (8) as shown
10	Press catch hook (10) on electrical connector (7) down with suitable screwdriver and guide electrical connector (7) out of bracket (11), then lay seat belt retractor (8) down to side
11	Glue on adhesive strips (12) as shown and cut in center of door joint	Adhesive strips (12) serves as orientation when adjusting.
12	Remove cap (13) from bolt (14)
13	Unscrew screw/bolt (14)
14	Unscrew bolts (15) on upper door hinge leaf (16)
15	Remove upper door hinge leaf (16)
	Install
16	Insert new upper door hinge leaf (16) into old upper pillar hinge leaf (18)
17	Screw in bolt (14) to stop
18	Tighten bolts (15) on upper door hinge leaf (16)	Bolt, hinge to rear door	*BA72.12-P-1001-01Q
	Remove
19	Unscrew screw/bolt (14)
20	Unscrew nuts (17) on upper pillar hinge leaf (18)	Secure nuts (17) and washers against falling down. Otherwise clattering noises can occur in the longitudinal member. The nuts (17) can detach from the washers.
21	Remove upper pillar hinge leaf (18)
	Install
22	Insert new upper pillar hinge leaf (18) in B-pillar
23	Tighten screw/bolt (14)	Moisten bolt thread (14) with Loctite 241 bolt securing adhesive.
		Bolt to hinge shaft	*BA72.12-P-1003-01Q
		Thread locking adhesive, Loctite 241	*BR00.45-Z-1001-02A
24	Install cap (13) on bolt (14)
25	Tighten upper pillar hinge leaf (18) with nuts (17) and washers	Nut, hinge to B-pillar	*BA72.12-P-1002-01Q
	Remove
26	Remove cap (19) from bolt (20)
27	Unscrew screw/bolt (20)
28	Unscrew bolts (21) from lower door hinge leaf (22)
29	Remove lower door hinge leaf (22)
	Install
30	Insert new lower door hinge leaf (22) into old pillar hinge lead (24)
31	Screw in bolt (20) to stop
32	Tighten bolts (21) on lower door hinge leaf (22)	Bolt, hinge to rear door	*BA72.12-P-1001-01Q
	Remove
33	Unscrew screw/bolt (20)
34	Unscrew nuts (23) from bottom pillar hinge lea (24)	Secure nuts (23) and washers against falling down. Otherwise clattering noises can occur in the longitudinal member. The nuts (23) can detach from the washers.
35	Remove lower pillar hinge leaf (24)
	Install
36	Insert new lower pillar hinge leaf (24) into B-pillar
37	Tighten screw (20)	Moisten bolt thread (20) with Loctite 241 bolt securing adhesive.
		Bolt to hinge shaft	*BA72.12-P-1003-01Q
		Thread locking adhesive, Loctite 241	*BR00.45-Z-1001-02A
38	Install cap (19) on bolt (20)
39	Tighten lower pillar hinge leaf (24) with nuts (23) and washers	Nut, hinge to B-pillar	*BA72.12-P-1002-01Q
	Check
40	Check gaps on adhesive strips (12), if necessary adjust gap dimensions on rear door (1), adjust		AR60.00-P-0700-01LF
		Front/rear door to roof paneling, side	*BE60.00-P-1009-01BA
		Front door to rear door	*BE60.00-P-1011-01BA
		Rear door to side section, bottom	*BE60.00-P-1012-01BA
		Front door cover to rear door cover	*BE60.00-P-1013-01BA

	Install
41	Remove adhesive strip (12)
42	Insert sound-proofing (4) into B-pillar
43	Pivot seat belt retractor (8) as shown
44	Guide electrical connector (7) into bracket (11)	Ensure that electrical connector (7) is seated correctly in bracket (11). Catch hook (10) should be located behind pin (arrow A).
45	Pivot air duct (5) toward front to side until seat belt retractor can be inserted into B-pillar	Do not pivot air duct (5) too far. Otherwise the air duct (5) may kink.
46	Insert automatic belt retractor (8) into B-pillar	Ensure that wiring harness is routed properly.
47	Tighten bolts (6) on automatic belt retractor (8)	Bolt for front belt retractor	*BA91.40-P-1004-01T
48	Install lower paneling (3) and upper paneling (2) in B-pillar		AR68.30-P-4700LF
