2	Empty AIRmatic using diagnostic system	Model 164, 166, 292 with code 489 (AIRMATIC)Front axle

		Empty and fill the AIRmatic as per the specifications; the complete wheels must not be touching the ground. The air springs can otherwise be damaged and fail later.
3	Detach torsion bar linkage from torsion bar	Detach the torsion bar linkage carefully. The torsion bar is under tension.

7	Lower the lower control arm (3)
8	Press out shock absorber mount (4) toward front	Do not exceed 140 bar pressure.
		Otherwise the shock absorber mount (4) may be damaged.
		Use separate parts A and E of the pulling/insertion device (5).

		Installation  : Use separate parts C and D of the pulling/insertion device (5).
		Model 166, 292Front axle
		Installation  : Use the sleeve and separate part C of the pulling/insertion device (5).
