Replace Shock Absorber Mount On Lower Control Arm Of Front Axle - AR32.25-P-0111GZ

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
NOTES Notes on repair work on suspension components   AH00.00-P-0100-01A
1 Secure vehicle on vehicle lift   AR00.60-P-0100GZ
2 Empty AIRmatic using STAR DIAGNOSIS    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   Model 164, 166 with code 489 (AIRMATIC) AD00.00-P-2000-04A
    NOTES Empty and fill the AIRmatic as per the specifications; the complete wheels must not be touching the ground.  
    The air springs can otherwise be damaged and fail later.  
3 Detach torsion bar linkage from stabilizer bar IMPORTANT Carefully detach torsion bar linkage, torsion bar is under tension.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 166 except code 468 (Active driving stability (stability)) *BA32.20-P-1002-02Q 
    Model 166 with code 468 (Active driving stability (stability)) Screw/bolt, link rod to torsion bar  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 164.1/8Nut, torsion bar linkage to torsion bar *BA32.20-P-1004-02L 
4 Relieve threaded connection for shock absorber on lower control arm (3) using telescopic lifter    
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 11 62 00 Major assembly mount   WS01.00-P-0092B
5 Unscrew bolt (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 166Self-locking nut, shock absorber to wishbone *BA32.25-P-1002-01O 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 164.1/8Self-locking nut, shock absorber to wishbone *BA32.25-P-1002-01G 
6 Detach steering knuckle from upper transverse control arm Model 166  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Self-locking nut, upper ball joint out of upper transverse control arm to steering knuckle *BA33.20-P-1001-01R 
7 Lower the lower control arm (3)    
8 Remove shock absorber (4) INSTALLATION NOTES Do not exceed 140 bar pressure.
Otherwise the shock absorber mount (4) may be damaged.
 
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Press in shock absorber mount (4) from front.  
    Model 164: Use separate parts C and D of removal, insertion device (5).
Model 166: Use sleeve 166 589 01 14 00 and separate part C of removal, insertion device (5).
 
    IMPORTANT Press out shock absorber mount (4) to front. Use separate parts A and E of removal, insertion device (5).

9 Install in the reverse order
