(Stationary Heater Control Unit, Component Description - GF83.70-P-4066GR)
Model 166 up to Model year 2016 with CODE 228 (Auxiliary heater)
Shows Model 166.0
Location
The stationary heater control unit is integrated in the stationary heater unit, which is located in the rear area of the left wheel arch.
Task
The stationary heater control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Stationary heater radio remote control receiver (A6/1)
- Stationary heater glow plug/flame monitor unit (A6r4)
- Stationary heater temperature sensor (A6b1)
- Stationary heater thermal fuse (A6f1)
If the temperature of T = 125°C is exceeded in the heater unit, the thermal fuse of the STH recognizes overheating via the temperature sensor and switches the stationary heater off with subsequent overheating locking.
Interior CAN
The following signals are read in over the interior CAN:
- Terminal status of terminal 15
- Stationary heater button status (N72/1s30)
- Crash signal
- Control signals of the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110)
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
Components are actuated with the following lines:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN
Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Stationary heater combustion air blower (A6m2)
- Stationary heater radio remote control receiver
- Stationary heater glow plug/flame monitor unit
- Stationary heater switchover valve (Y16)
- Stationary heater fuel pump (Y23)
Interior CAN
The stationary heater control unit sends the "Actuate status indication in stationary heater button" request over the interior CAN to the SAM control unit, which implements it.
Variants
Depending on the vehicle motorization a differentiation is made between the following stationary heater variants:
- Stationary heater for vehicles with gasoline engine
- Stationary heater for vehicles with diesel engine
