IMPORTANT The following special tools are required: SPECIAL TOOL Telescopic measuring rod, SPECIAL TOOL Suspension, SPECIAL TOOL Measuring fixture set, SPECIAL TOOL Stay tube and SPECIAL TOOL

Connecting parts.

IMPORTANT The measuring set is designed in such a way the measuring bolts, according to the measuring points at the vehicle, can be screwed together out of mounting bolts, extensions and measuring tips/bolts. The distance dimensions are given in the table "Check values for distance and comparative measurement on rear axle".

The configuration of the measuring bolts for the respective distance dimensions is given on the list below. The numbers under "Configuration of measuring bolts" are the end numbers of the special tools in the measuring fixture set.

Example:  02/07/10 = 168 589 07 63 02  (mounting bolt), 168 589 07 63 07 (extension), 168 589 07 63 10  (measuring tip).

Configuration of measuring bolts: 02/06/05/a (socket) Telescopic measuring rod: 124 589 02 19 00

Configuration of measuring bolts on front mount: 02/06/05/a (socket)

Configuration of measuring bolts on rear mount: 02/07/05/a (socket)

Telescopic measuring rod: 124 589 02 19 00

  1. Measure distance dimension (H1) from check point (K) to center of bolt head of front mount for rear axle carrier. Measure on both left and right side. Unscrew bolts if necessary, check for deformation and screw back in again.
    • Distance dimension H4: 

    Configuration of measuring bolts: 02/07/05/a (socket)

    Telescopic measuring rod: 124 589 02 19 00

    • Distance dimension H5: 

    Configuration of measuring bolts: 02/06/05/a (socket)

    Telescopic measuring rod: 124 589 02 19 00

  2. Measure distance dimension (H2) from check point (K) to center of bolt head of rear mount for rear axle carrier. Measure on both left and right side. Unscrew bolts if necessary, check for deformation and screw back in again.

  3. Measure the distance dimension (H3) diagonally from the centering point of the screw heads between the front and rear bearing of the rear axle carrier. Measure on both left and right side.

  4. Measure distance dimension (H4) from centering point of bolt heads between rear bearings of the rear axle carrier.
