Replace Shock Absorber Mount On Lower Wishbone - AR32.25-P-0107GZA

Model 164, 166, 292 

Rear axle

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Raise vehicle using vehicle lift until the wheels are clear of the ground   AR00.60-P-1000GZ
2 Empty AIRmatic using diagnostic system    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   Model 164, 166, 292 with code 489 (AIRMATIC)Rear axle AD00.00-P-2000-04A
    NOTES Empty and fill the AIRmatic as per the specifications; the complete wheels must not be touching the ground.
The air springs can otherwise be damaged and fail later.
 
3 Support lower control arm (2)    
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 10 62 00 Support plate   WS26.00-P-3309B
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 11 62 00 Major assembly mount   WS01.00-P-0092B
    NOTES While working on the rear axle, care must be taken to ensure that the surface of aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches.
Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.
 
4 Remove screw (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/self-locking nut, shock absorber to spring link *BA32.25-P-1001-03K 
5 Lower lower transverse control arm (2) far enough until shock absorber mount (3) is accessible    
6 Press out shock absorber mount (3) toward rear INSTALLATION NOTES When installing the shock absorber mount (3) the pressure of the hand pump must not exceed 140 bar.  
    Otherwise the shock absorber mount (3) may be damaged.  
    IMPORTANT To press out, use the parts of the pulling/insertion device (4) marked with E and B.  
    IMPORTANT Model 164Rear axle Installation:  To press in, use the separate parts marked with E and D and the threaded ball of the pulling/insertion device (4).  
    IMPORTANT Model 166, 292Rear axle Installation:  To press in, use separate part E and the sleeve.  
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The cutouts on separate part D or the sleeve must be aligned with the casting seams on the lower transverse control arm (2).

7 Install in the reverse order
