| 1 | Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key at a location beyond transmitter range (at least 2 m) | ||
| 2 | Push down brake pedal several times | ||
| 3 | Open engine hood and raise to vertical position | Model 166 | AR88.40-P-1000GQ |
| 4 | Remove cover over left suspension strut tower | ||
| 5 | Remove drain (1) | ||
| 6 | Pull brake vacuum sensor (B64/1) out of BAS brake booster (A7/7) | ||
| 7 | Release and detach electrical connector from brake vacuum sensor (B641) | ||
| Check | |||
| 8 | Check seal plug (2) for wear and damage | If complaint present ↓ Replace seal plug (2) |

| 9 | Install in the reverse order |
