	Remove/install
1	Clean Mercedes star (13).	Model 117, 156, 166, 176, 242, 246 with code 239 (Adaptive cruise control Pro (DISTRONIC PRO)) Model 117, 166, 176, 231, 242, 246 with code 233 (Adaptive cruise control Plus (DISTRONIC PLUS)) The Mercedes star (13) must be dry and free of dust and grease. 2	Fasten suitable cup suction tool to Mercedes star (13).	Model 117, 156, 166, 176, 242, 246 with code 239 (Adaptive cruise control Pro (DISTRONIC PRO)) Model 117, 166, 176, 231, 242, 246 with code 233 (Adaptive cruise control Plus (DISTRONIC PLUS))
3.1	Turn Mercedes star (13) using the cup suction tool by approx. 150 in counterclockwise direction and remove from radiator grille.	Model 117, 156, 166, 176, 242, 246 with code 239 (Adaptive cruise control Pro (DISTRONIC PRO)) Model 117, 166, 176, 231, 242, 246 with code 233 (Adaptive cruise control Plus (DISTRONIC PLUS)) Ensure that Mercedes star (13) enters the radiator grille led by the catch hooks.
3.2	Carefully unclip Mercedes star (13) with suitable tool at the arrows (A) and remove. 4	Release and disconnect electrical connector (7) and remove COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST controller unit (A90).	Model 176, 242, 246 with code 252 (COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST)
5	Check retaining lugs on Mercedes star (13).	If there is a problem: ↓ Replace Mercedes star (13).
6	Release carrier plate (14) with the extraction hooks at the arrows (B), loosen in direction of arrow (C) and remove.
