Routing diagram 

1. Remove black, 18-pin plug insert (4.1) from white connector housing (4.2) of instrument cluster wiring harness (4).
2. Install black, 18-pin plug insert (15) of head-up display wiring harness (2) into white connector housing (4.2).
3. Install black 18-pin plug insert (4.1) of instrument cluster wiring harness (4) in the black connector housing (17).

   The black connector housing (17) is part of the package contents.

4. Connect the previously connected black 18-pin plug with the black 18-pin connector (2.1) of the Y-connection of the head-up display wiring harness (2).
5. Route head-up display wiring harness (2) behind installation location of instrument cluster as far as A-pillar.
6. Route head-up display wiring harness (2) further along the detached defroster cover (7) up to the center of the instrument cluster.

   The head-up display wiring harness (2) must overlap on the defroster cover (7) by at least 18 cm.

7. Insert white, 18-pin plug of head-up display wiring harness into instrument cluster.
