Location 

The off-road operating panel control unit is located in the center console between the front seats.

Task 

General 

The off-road control panel control unit records the position of the off-road package transmission mode control.

CAN bus 

The off-road control panel control unit is connected through the center console switch LIN (LIN B12) to the SAM control unit (N10). The SAM control unit is connected to the CAN network of the vehicle via the interior CAN (CAN B) and forwards the data to the other control units.

The off-road control panel control unit evaluates the following input signals and issues the corresponding output signals:
