Remove/Install Front Engine Mount And/Or Engine Support - AR22.10-P-1260GQA

ENGINES 651 in MODEL 166 

	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
7	Remove cover over battery device on the left
1	Detach ground line from battery	When removing the right switchable engine mount (Y123/1).	AR54.10-P-0003GZ

2	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position	MODEL 166.0	AR88.40-P-1000GQ
3	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100GZ
4	Remove engine trim panel
5	Remove air intake pipe, upstream of air filter and turbocharger cooling duct
6	Remove cover over the air intake box on the right and air intake box on the right
8	Remove section of the partition wall on the right	When removing the RH switchable engine mount (Y123/1) or engine support.
9	Remove section of the partition wall on the left	When removing the LH switchable engine mount (Y123) or engine support.
10	Remove the throttle valve actuator	When removing the LH switchable engine mount (Y123) or engine support.	AR09.41-P-1321CD
11	Remove engine charge air duct downstream of charge air cooler	When removing the LH switchable engine mount (Y123) or engine support.	AR09.41-P-8624CD
12	Remove EGR switchover valve	When removing engine support on the left Lay EGR switchover valve with bracket and attached lines to one side.	AR14.20-P-7660CD
13	Remove screw/bolts (6) and remove mounting plate (7)	When removing engine support on the left	*BA09.41-P-1005-01N
14	Remove air filter housing	When removing the RH switchable engine mount (Y123/1) or engine support.	AR09.10-P-1150CD
15	Remove O2 sensor	When removing the right switchable engine mount (Y123/1).	AR07.04-P-0080CD
16	Remove exhaust pipe between diesel particulate filter and turbocharger	When removing the right switchable engine mount (Y123/1). Diesel particulate filter remains in the vehicle.	AR49.10-P-5501GQ
17	Remove catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit	When removing the right engine support	AR49.10-P-5501GQ
18	Install rear engine crossmember	MODEL 166.0 When removing the right engine support	AR22.10-P-1180GQ
19	Remove wastegate aneroid capsule	When removing the right engine support Only unfasten the wastegate aneroid capsule and place to one side.	AR09.40-P-1002-03CD
20	Remove starter	When removing the right engine support	AR15.30-P-7100CD
21	Remove heat shield (3)	When removing the RH switchable engine mount (Y123/1) or engine support. Unscrew screw/bolts (1) for this step.	*BA22.10-P-1003-02A
22	Remove screw/bolts (10) and bracket (11)	When removing the right engine support	*BA09.40-P-1002-01P

23	Unfasten alternator and expose subharness	When removing the right engine support Only place down alternator to the front.	AR15.40-P-5032GR
24	Unscrew screw/bolts (16, 18) and remove bracket (17)	When removing the right engine support	*BA09.40-P-1002-01P

25	Remove A/C compressor	When removing engine support on the left Cables remain connected. Place A/C compressor to one side and fasten.	AR83.55-P-5300GQ
26	Place, align engine hoist and lift engine slightly	Only raise engine sufficiently that the switchable engine mount (Y123 or Y123/1) is not under tension.	AR33.10-P-0105EW
27	Remove screw/bolts (2) from below		*BA22.10-P-1001-03G

28	Disconnect electrical lines for engine mount (Y123 or Y123/1) and disconnect electrical connections on front axle carrier	For vehicles with a switchable engine mount (Y123/1 or Y123).
29	Remove screw/bolt (4) from above		*BA22.10-P-1002-03G
30	Continue to lift engine		AR33.10-P-0105EW
31	Remove engine mount (Y123 or Y123/1)	: Ensure correct installation position of the switchable engine mount (Y123 or Y123/1). : Always replace switchable engine mount (Y123 or Y123/1) in pairs in case of damage.
32	Unscrew screw/bolts (8) and remove left engine support (9)	When removing engine support on the left	*BA22.10-P-1001-02A
33	Remove screw/bolts (15) and take out engine support (14)	When removing the right engine support	*BA22.10-P-1001-02A
34	Install in the reverse order
