The following operation steps describe installation in a left-hand drive vehicle. With right-hand drive vehicles these operation steps must be carried out mirror-inverted.

1. Wrap felt tape around low voltage differential signal (LVDS) head unit wiring harness (15).
2. Wrap felt tape around display low voltage differential signaling wiring harness (16).
3. Remove line installed on the vehicle with a blue 4-pin connector and a gray 4- pin connector.

   The line installed on the vehicle from the audio component to the Audio/COMAND display is no longer required.

4. Route LVDS head unit wiring harness (15) from device installation opening of the audio component into the front passenger footwell.

   The gray 4-pin connector (15.1) must be located in the device installation opening for the audio component, and the blue 4-pin connector (15.2) in the front passenger footwell.

5. Route LVDS display wiring harness (16) from display recess into the front passenger footwell.

   The blue 4-pin connector (16.1) must be located in the display recess and the white 4-pin connector (16.2) in the front passenger footwell.
