with CODE 866 (Preinstallation for rear entertainment system)

The following operation steps are shown on the right side of the vehicle and they can be conducted analogously on the left side of the vehicle.

Cut out cutting template (11) along broken line.
The cutting template (11) from the installation kit must be used.

Otherwise an incorrect separation may occur at the seat cover, whereby the seat is damaged.

The cutting template (11) is included in the installation kit. With code (866) Rear entertainment preinstallation, cut along the bottom marking (arrow).
Apply cutting template (11) to head restraint and mark separating point (broken line).
Fix cutting templates (11) in place, using adhesive tape if required.
Remove cutting template (11).
Cut seat cover with a knife.
Be very careful when cutting.

Otherwise the seat cover may be damaged.
Work out and remove foam core.
Be very careful when cutting.

Otherwise the seat cover may be damaged.
Work out seat core until mount (14) of seat is accessible.
Be very careful when cutting.

Otherwise the seat cover may be damaged.
Remove line (10) out of seat.
Only the line (10) with the white 8-pin connector is required. The other line with the blue connector is not required and it is strapped down.
Sew seam of seat cover with leather needle and thread (arrows).
Conduct only if a seam is present.

The seam of the seat cover must be threaded. The seam is hereby kept from coming undone.
Fold shackle (12) into opening.
Insert bracket (15) into opening.
Fix bracket (15) in place using screws/bolts (17) at mount (14).
The mount (14) is installed in the seat. Do not tighten bolts (17) yet.
Insert bracket (16) in opening.
Screw bracket (16) and bracket (15) to each other using screws/bolts (18) and counternut.
Tighten bolts (17).
