The following operation steps describe installation in a left-hand drive vehicle. With right-hand drive vehicles these operation steps must be carried out mirror-inverted.

1. Make mark for hole center point on cover (31).

   Dimensions: 

   a = 30 mm

   b = 55 mm

2. Drill a hole with a diameter of 19 mm corresponding to the marking.
3. Route Media Interface Drive Kit Plus adapter line (27) along underside of center console and through the opening in the stowage compartment on the center console.

   The white 4-pin plug (23) for the Media Interface Drive Kit Plus adapter line (27) is connected at a later stage to the white 4-pin connector of the Drive Kit Plus adapter wiring harness.

4. Partially install center console.

   Install center console far enough for the cover (31) to be installed.

5. Route Media Interface Drive Kit Plus adapter line (27) through hole in cover (31).
6. Install grommet (27.2) in cover (31).
7. Install Media Interface electrical connection (X18/70) in cover (31).
8. Connect Media Interface Drive Kit Plus adapter wiring harness (27) and Media Interface electrical connection (X18/70) to consumer line (34).

   The consumer line (34) is not included in the scope of supply.
