The installation of the LED lamps is shown here by way of an example on the running board on the left side of vehicle. Running board installation on the right side of vehicle is performed in the same manner.

1. Mount trim for running board (1) to running board basic carrier (1.1).

   The trim for the running board (1) must be installed before the holes are drilled into the running board basic carrier (1.1), so that the bores can be made at the same time through the running board trim (1) and the running board basic carrier (1.1) This ensures that the bore holes all line up.

2. Cut out drilling template (20).

   The drilling template (20) is included in the scope of delivery.

3. Position drilling template (20) with marking (arrow) on edge of running board trim (1).
4. Fix drilling template (20) in place using adhesive tape

   Check drilling template (20) is seated straight.

5. Make bores (arrows) with a diameter of 25.5 mm on running board trim (1). Cordless drill/driver

   Drill through the running board trim (1) and the running board basic carrier.

6. Remove running board basic carrier from running board trim (1).
7. Drill open bores (arrows) to a diameter of 35 mm on running board basic carrier (1.1).

   Cordless drill/driver

8. Insert LED lamps (2) into running board trim (1) and align.
9. Position clamping rings (2.1) from rear onto LED lamps (2).

   The clamping rings (2.1) can only be mounted in one position onto the LED lamps (2).

10. Turn clamping rings (2.1) clockwise until the LED lamps (2) in the running board trim (1) are fixed in place.
11. Check installation position of LED lamps (2).

    If necessary, align LED lamps (2) by carefully sliding them uniformly from the rear.

12. Route wiring harness for LED lamps (3), as shown, to running board basic carrier (1.1) and fix in place using the brackets and felt tape included.

    Make sure that the black 2-pin plug (3.4) is located on the rear end of the running board basic carrier (1.1).

    The black 2-pin connectors for connecting the LED lamps must be routed outside through the two previously made holes.

13. Mount running board basic carrier (1.1).

    Make sure that the black 2-pin plug is located on the rear end of the running board basic carrier (1.1).

    The black 2-pin connectors (3.2) for connecting the LED lamps must be routed outside through the two previously made holes.

14. Position running board trim (1) onto running board basic carrier.

    If necessary, shim the running board basic carrier using suitable squared lumber.

15. Connect black 2-pin connectors (3.2) to black 2-pin plugs (2.3) of LED lamps.
16. Wrap felt tape around the assembled connectors.
17. Insert assembled connectors into previously made bores on running board basic carrier.
18. Mount running board trim (1).

    Make sure that the assembled connectors are inserted into the previously made bores on the running board basic carrier.
