The following operation steps describe installation in a left-hand drive vehicle. With right-hand drive vehicles these operation steps must be carried out mirror-inverted.

1. Wrap felt tape around GPS antenna line (18).
2. Use felt tape to mask off underside of GPS antenna (retrofit) (A2/23).
3. Remove backing film (39) from GPS antenna (retrofit) (A2/23).
4. Stick GPS antenna (retrofit) (A2/23) in left ventilation shaft onto underside of instrument panel.

   The GPS antenna (retrofit) (A2/23) is correctly installed in the vehicle if the line output is facing the passenger side.

   Care should be taken to ensure that there is no screening effect through metal above the GPS antenna (retrofit) (A2/23).

   The area to be glued must be free of dust and grease.

5. Route GPS antenna line (18) behind device installation opening of audio component into front passenger footwell, and fix in place.

   Do not crush or jam the GPS antenna line (18). Otherwise, a trouble-free GPS signal is not guaranteed.

   The blue 1-pin GPS antenna connector is connected to the Drive Kit Plus control unit at a later stage.
