Prepare vehicle with halogen headlamps for headlamp adjustment
Shown: model 292 with halogen headlamp
Before checking or correcting the headlamp adjustment the vehicle must be in a ready-to-drive condition.
Vehicle in ready-to-drive condition means:
Correct tire pressure,
Vehicle at normal level,
Steering is in straight-ahead position.
Additionally on vehicles without CODE 489 (AIRMATIC):
Vehicle unloaded,
Driver seat loaded with 75 kg.
On vehicles with
CODE 489 (AIRmatic): In addition to being in the ready-to-drive condition, the vehicle must also be moved to the calibrated vehicle level using the diagnostic system before the headlamp adjustment is corrected.
The calibrated vehicle level is moved to using the diagnostic system in the chassis control unit.
During a service this shall be invoiced as an additional operation.
