Hybrid Vehicle Telematics Services, Function - GF82.85-P-2061GN
MODEL 166.063
General telematics services function requirements
- Circuit 30 ON
- Transport mode not active
- The vehicle owner is registered and authorized at the Service Center.
- No prioritized service (emergency call (manual or automatic), MB information call, breakdown assistance) is activated.
General telematics services
For comfortable mobility planning on electric vehicles, the customer has the option of calling up vehicle data and making settings via a vehicle-specific website, the "Vehicle Homepage". Position-dependent control and monitoring of the charging processes in particular are made possible by this. The "Vehicle Homepage" is made available by the service provider. The telematics services that can be performed via the "Vehicle Homepage" include the following functions, for example:
- Display of battery charge level and estimated charging time
- Configuration and illustration of the pre-entry climate control
- Illustration of the estimated range
Modified settings are displayed in the instrument cluster (A1) if necessary.
One of the following components is installed as a communication module for the telematics services:
- Telematics services communications module (with CODE B57 (Battery level COM MODULE))
- Emergency call system control unit (with code 348 (Emergency call/Assist system))
- HERMES control unit (with code 360 (HERMES UMTS) or with code 362 (HERMES LTE))
The processing of the telematics services includes the following procedures:
- Communication between vehicle and "Vehicle Homepage"
- CAN communication between the involved components in the vehicle
Communication between vehicle and "Vehicle Homepage"
As soon as the user has successfully called up the "Vehicle Homepage", he/she can exchange data with the vehicle (e.g. call up information and make settings) via a mobile radio connection secured by the service provider. The communication module in the vehicle receives signals from the following antennas:
- With code B57 (Communication module, battery level) or with code 360 (HERMES UMTS): Emergency call system antenna
- With code 348 (Emergency call/assistance system): Multifunction antenna or (in the event of failure or poor multifunction antenna reception) emergency call system antenna
- With code 362 (HERMES LTE): Emergency call system antenna and multifunction antenna (transmission and reception diversity)
CAN communication between the involved components in the vehicle
The communication module exchanges data on charge management with the charger and the powertrain control unit via the hybrid CAN.
The communication module exchanges data on auxiliary climate control with the powertrain control unit via the hybrid CAN.
The powertrain control unit forwards signals for auxiliary climate control via the following route:
Chassis CAN 1 →;
Electronic ignition lock control unit →;
Interior CAN →;
Automatic air conditioning control and operating unit
