The following work procedure is described on the right side of the vehicle. Install upper mounting console on left side of vehicle in same manner. Assemble in front of grab handle.

Glue masking tape (11) to headliner according to dimensions (a to d).
Dimensions:

a = 85 mm

b = 65 mm

c = 80 mm

d = 37 mm

Measure dimension (c) from bottom edge of headliner along course of contour.

Measure dimension (d) starting at rear grab handle (3).
Mark cutting line (broken line) according to dimensions (a to d) as shown.
Dimensions:

a = 85 mm

b = 65 mm

c = 80 mm

d = 37 mm

Provide corners with a 5 mm radius.
Pull covers (3.1) out of rear grab handle (3).
Press clips (3.2) together with needle nose pliers (arrows) and pull out of rear grab handle (3).
Remove rear grab handle (3) from headliner.
Disconnect electrical connector on rear grab handle (3).
Pull headliner (10) downward and push cutting protection (14) between windowbag (15) and headliner (10).
Carefully push in cutting protection (14).

Otherwise the windowbag (15) can be damaged.
Position cutting protection (14) so that the area of the headliner (10) to be cut out is completely covered.
Ensure that the cutting protection (14) is positioned correctly.

Otherwise the windowbag (15) can be damaged when cutting out the headliner (10).
Carefully cut headliner (10) along previously marked cutting line (broken line) with cutter.
Cut carefully and ensure that the cutting protection (14) is positioned correctly.

Otherwise the windowbag (15) can be damaged.
Remove cutout from headliner (10).
Remove masking tape from headliner (10).
Clean headliner (10).
Pull out cutting protection (14).
Align headliner (10) in area of B-pillar paneling (16).
Remove edge guard (5).
Unscrew nuts (17).
Nuts (17) are eliminated parts.
Install carrier (2.1) on threaded pin of unscrewed nuts (17) and tighten with nuts (2.2) included in package contents.
Observe installation position of carrier (2.1). The carriers (2.1) for left and right are different.
Insert mounting console (2) and tighten with bolt (2.3).
