Retrofit Mounting Console For Lower Safety Net - AZ68.50-P-0009-01GQ

MODEL 166.0 

The following work procedure is described on the left side of the vehicle. Install lower mounting console on right side of vehicle in same manner.

1. Determine position of threaded hole (arrow A) according to dimension (a).

   Looking toward the front of the vehicle, the threaded hole (arrow A) is at the same height as the bolt (6).

   Measure dimension (a) at edge (arrow B) of hinge (7) vertically downward.

   Dimensions: 

   a = 62 mm

2. Carefully punch floor covering (8) with pointed punch in area of determined position and determine actual position for threaded hole (arrow A).

   If applicable, punch floor covering (8) with punch several times in area of determined position until threaded hole (arrow A) is found.

3. Enlarge hole in floor covering (8) above threaded hole (arrow) to approx. 8 mm.
4. Position mounting plate (4.1) on threaded hole (arrow A) as shown and fasten with bolt (9).

   Use M8x25mm commercially available bolt (9).

5. Carefully cut out floor covering (8) around mounting plate (4.1) (broken line) with cutter.
6. Unscrew bolt (9) and remove mounting plate (4.1) as well as piece of floor covering (8) below.
7. Detach plastic (18) according to cutout in floor covering (8) (broken line) with suitable tool and remove.
8. Position mounting plate (4.1) with tie-down eye (4.2) as shown and fix in place with bolt (4.5).

   Ensure that lower guide on tie-down eye (4.2) is positioned in body opening.

9. Drill ø 6.5 mm rivet holes to match holes in the mounting plate (4.1).
10. Unscrew bolt (4.5) and remove tie-down eye (4.2) as well as mounting plate (4.1).
11. Deburr rivet holes.
12. Remove drilling shavings with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
13. Coat rivet holes with zinc dust paint.
14. Position mounting plate (4.1) with tie-down eye (4.2) and tighten with bolt (4.5).
15. Fasten mounting plate (4.1) with rivet (4.7).
16. Unscrew bolt (4.5) and remove tie-down eye (4.2).
17. Align paneling (4.4) above mounting plate (4.1).

    The lower cutout in the paneling (4.4) should be positioned precisely in the body opening (arrow D).

18. Tighten tie-down eye (4.2) with washer (4.3) and bolt (4.5)

    Ensure that lower guide (arrow C) on tie-down eye (4.2) is seated in body opening (arrow D).

    If anchoring lug (4.2) is not positioned correctly, the paneling (4.4) can be damaged.

19. Fold up cap (4.6) and lock.
