	Remove
1	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift.		AR00.60-P-0100CW
2	Remove rear axle shaft (37) on left or right.	Transmission 725.0 in model 205 (except 205.386/387/486/487), 253 (except 253.388/389/988/989) with code 700 (Technology Local Content China)	AR35.30-P-0621LW
3	Pry radial shaft sealing ring (32a) out of rear axle differential (50) using suitable tool.	Do not damage seat surface of radial shaft sealing ring (32a). Otherwise, leaks can occur at the rear axle differential (50).
	Clean
4	Clean seat of radial shaft sealing ring (32) in rear axle differential (50) using a clean, lint-free rag and assembly cleaner.	The seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (32a) in the rear axle differential (50) must be free of oil and dirt. Otherwise, leaks can occur at the rear axle differential (50).
		Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
	Check
5	Check seat of radial shaft sealing ring (32a) in rear axle differential (50) for damage.	If damage is found, ↓ Replace rear axle differential (50).

	Install
6	Apply universal hypoid gear oil to sealing lip of new radial shaft sealing ring (32a).
	Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7)		BB00.40-P-0235-07A
7	Press new radial shaft sealing ring (32a) into rear axle differential (50) using drift (03) and sleeve.	Drift	Fig 1

8	Replace retaining ring (37o) on rear axle shaft (37).
