| 1 | Disconnect the ground line for the on-board electrical system battery (G1). | AR54.10-P-0003LW | |
| 2 | Remove vehicle tool kit stowage box/tray (1). | ||
| 3 | Unclip electric line (4) from housing (6). | ||
| 4 | Unclip positive terminal cover (2). | ||
| 5 | Disconnect positive line (3) of on-board electrical system battery (G1). | *BA54.10-P-1004-01A | |
| 6 | Disconnect vent hose (9) from on-board electrical system battery (G1). | Check that the vent hose (9) is correctly seated. Otherwise leaking battery vapor may damage the vehicle. |

| 10 | Remove mounting rail (8). | ||
| 11 | Remove on-board electrical system battery (G1 from vehicle. | ||
| 12 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 13 | Confirm battery change in front SAM control unit in the "Actuations" menu item. | When replacing the on-board electrical system battery (G1). | |
