Correcting Rear Articulation Angle At Rear Axle Center Assembly - AR41.10-P-0086-05LW

Model 253 (except 253.388/389/988/989)

CHECK VALUES FOR PROPELLER SHAFT ARTICULATION ANGLE

Correct rear inclination angle (∠3) 

IMPORTANT To correct the articulation angle at the rear axle differential, appropriate spacer washers (arrow) are available as replacement part.

Spacer washers (arrow) are available in a thickness of 1 mm to 4 mm. Here, 1 mm is equivalent to a change inn articulation angle of approx. 0.25° to 0.33°.

  1. Support rear axle differential with support plate and major assembly mount.
  2. Remove screw/bolt (1).
  3. Depending on correction, insert appropriate spacer disks (arrow) together with bolt (1).
  4. Tighten bolt (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  5. Take off support plate and major assembly mount.
