Remove/Install Driver Door Power Window Switch - AR72.29-P-0101LW

REMOVING Remove     
1 Install adhesive foil (3) on armrest (2) of driver door (1) NOTES
Attach adhesive (3) on armrest (2) in contact area of tool flush to cover (8) of driver side outside mirror adjustment power window switch group (S20).
Otherwise the armrest (2) can be damaged when removing the driver side outside mirror adjustment power window switch group (S20).
 
2 Loosen door lining (10) on driver door (1) and carefully lay down Model 205.3
with code 901 (Interior chrome package)
except code P29 (AMG Line interior)

IMPORTANT Do not remove door lining (10) completely.

3 Unscrew bolt (9) on side of door lining (10) Model 205.3

4 Install clip remover in area of front catch (4) at an angle of 90° to driver side outside mirror adjustment power window switch group (S20) and position IMPORTANT The SPECIAL TOOL unclipping tool must be held at an angle of approx. 45° to the surface of the armrest (2).

5 Unclip front catch (4) from armrest (2) SPECIAL TOOL Clip remover Fig 1
6 Insert clip remover in area of rear catch (5) at an angle of 90° to driver side outside mirror adjustment and power window switch group (S20) and position IMPORTANT The SPECIAL TOOL unclipping tool must be held at an angle of approx. 45° to the surface of the armrest (2).

7 Unclip rear catch (5) from armrest (2) SPECIAL TOOL Clip remover Fig 1
8 Remove driver side outside mirror adjustment power window switch group (S20) from armrest (2) together with cover (8)    
9 Disconnect electrical connector (6)    
10 Unlock catches (7) and remove driver side outside mirror adjustment power window switch group (S20) from cover (8) Only when replacing driver side outside mirror adjustment power window switch group (S20).  
INSTALLING Install     
11 Insert driver side outside mirror adjustment power window switch group (S20) into cover (8) and lock When the driver side outside mirror adjustment power window switch group (S20) has been replaced.  
12 Connect electrical connection (6)    
13 Install driver side outside mirror adjustment and power window switch group (S20) in rear area of armrest (2) together with cover (8)    
14 Tighten bolt (9) on inside of door lining (10) Model 205.3

15 Install door lining (10) on driver door (1) Model 205.3

16 Install adhesive foil (3) on armrest (2) of driver door (1)    
CLEAN Clean     
17 Remove adhesive foil residues in repair area    
INSPECT Check     
18 Check electric window lifting mechanism switch group and driver side outside mirror adjustment (S20) for proper function
