| 6 | Remove oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2) | AR07.52-P-5303MT | |
| 7 | Remove screw/bolts (4s) and detach bracket (4) from catalytic converter (5) on cylinder head | *BA49.10-P-1002-01AL | |
| 8 | Remove heat shield (6) over turbocharger | ||
| 9 | Unscrew nuts (7) from catalytic converter (5) at turbocharger | ||

| 10 | Attach guard plate and secure cooler against falling down | ||

| 12 | Unfasten washer fluid reservoir (8) | ||

| 14 | Unclip the electrical connection for the oxygen sensor downstream of CAT (G3/1) on holder and disconnect electrical connection | ||
| 15 | Unfasten the clamp (10) between catalytic converter (5) and exhaust system (11) | ||

| 16 | Remove screw/bolt (12s) at bracket (12) | *BA49.10-P-1003-01AL | |

| 18 | Remove two-piece heat shield (13) on catalytic converter (5) | ||
| 19 | Remove heat shield (15) on catalytic converter (5) | ||
| 20 | Take out catalytic converter (5) | ||
| 21 | Remove oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/1) | Only if catalytic converter (5) is replaced. | |
