Potential risks 

Risk of injury 

Detaching hydraulic pressure reservoirs and hydraulic lines without previously depressurizing the system may result in hydraulic fluid escaping under high pressure, possibly causing injuries to skin or eyes.

Depressurize hydraulic pressure reservoir system before commencing work on system. Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. 

Safety precautions/instructions 

• Pressure reservoir systems containing hydraulic fluid of specification 345.0 must be depressurized prior to maintenance.
• Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
• Place hydraulic fluid of specification 345.0 only in containers specially designed for this fluid.

First aid measures 

• In case of inhalation: provide plenty of fresh air, consult physician if complaints arise.
• In case of contact with skin: Generally, hydraulic fluid of specification 345.0 is not a skin irritant. Consult physician if complaints arise.
• In case hydraulic fluid of specification 345.0 gets in the eyes: Flush eyes with running water and with eyelids open for several minutes.
• In case of ingestion: Consult a physician if symptoms persist.
• If hydraulic fluid spray injures skin or eyes, consult a physician.
