| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Release ME-SFI control unit bracket (N3/10) and place to one side. | AR07.08-P-7016XGC | |
| 2 | Remove screws of the bracket (6) and place vacuum hose (8) to one side. | *BA00.10-P-1002-04A | |
| 3 | Unclip vacuum hose (3) from the cylinder head cover and place to one side. | ||
| 4 | Remove screws/bolts (4). | Bolt, ignition coil to cylinder head cover |

| 5 | Detach ignition coil for cylinders 1 + 2 (T4) upwards and remove. + ~ | ||
| 6 | Detach ignition coil for cylinders 3 + 4 (T4/1) upwards and remove. | ||
| 7 | Check ignition coil for cylinders 1 + 2 (T4) and ignition coil for cylinders 3 + 4 (T4/1) for damage. | If there is a problem, ↓ Replace ignition coil for cylinders 1 + 2 (T4) and/or ignition coil for cylinders 3 + 4 (T4/1). |

| 8 | Approx. Apply about 1 g of spark plug connector grease to the spark plug connector. | To reduce the withdrawal and attachment forces the spark plug connector grease must be applied. Otherwise the spark plug connectors will be damaged upon renewed removal. |
