| 1 | Remove right air filter housing. | AR09.10-P-1152XGA | |
| 2 | Remove screw (2) and place cable duct (3) to one side. | *BA00.10-P-1002-04A | |
| 3 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) of ignition coil for cylinders 1 + 2 (T4). | ||
| 4 | Unclip retaining clip (9). | ||
| 5 | Remove screws (4). | *BA15.10-P-1001-04D | |
| 6 | Detach ignition coil for cylinders 1 + 2 (T4) upwards and remove. | ||
| 7 | Remove bolts (5). | *BA00.10-P-1002-04A | |
| 8 | Remove vacuum line (6) from vacuum pump, seal openings with suitable stop plugs and place vacuum line (6) to one side. | Fig 2 | |
| 9 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (7) of ignition coil for cylinders 3 + 4 (T4/1). | ||
| 10 | Remove bolts (8). | *BA15.10-P-1001-04D | |
| 11 | Detach ignition coil for cylinders 3 + 4 (T4/1) upwards and remove. | ||
| 12 | Check ignition coil for cylinders 1 + 2 (T4) and ignition coil for cylinders 3 + 4 (T4/1) for damage. | If problems exist, ↓ Replace ignition coil for cylinders 1 + 2 (T4) and/or ignition coil for cylinders 3 + 4 (T4/1). |

| 13 | Discharge approx. Apply about 1 g of spark plug connector grease to the spark plug connector. | ||
