	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

2	Check markings (4) on input shaft of transfer case (1) and replace if necessary
3	Remove input shaft on transfer case (1) on transmission flange and transfer case flange	The input shaft on the transfer case (1) is designed either as a homokinetic propeller shaft or as a propeller shaft with universal joint.

4	Remove input shaft on transfer case (1)	: Note markings (4).
5	Mark front propeller shaft (2) installation position on the flanges	If the sliding piece (5) is disassembled, then check the arrow markings (6).
6	Remove front propeller shaft (2) on the transfer case and front axle	Model 461 (except 461.392) Model 463 up to model year 2013 except code 979 (Special protection MB Guard) Bolt, propeller shaft to drive flange	*BA41.10-P-1003-01B
7	Remove front propeller shaft (2)	If the vehicle is moved, the loose bolts must be secured in the flanges of the transfer case and tightened with an M8 nut. This is because the bolt heads could otherwise be wedged together on the transfer case. To this end fit an M10 nut as a spacer sleeve and fasten in place with an M8 nut. : Observe markings.
8	Mark rear propeller shaft (3) installation position on the flanges	If the sliding piece is disassembled, then check the arrow markings (6).
9.1	Remove rear propeller shaft (3) on the transfer case and rear axle	Model 461 (except 461.392) Model 463 up to model year 2013 except code 979 (Special protection MB Guard)

9.2	Remove propeller shaft to rear axle	Drive shaft must be removed. Model 461.343/345/346	AR41.10-P-0310GX
10	Take out rear propeller shaft (3)	If the vehicle is moved, then the loose bolts in the transfer case flanges must be secured.
