| 1 | Remove overhead control panel control unit. | AR82.20-P-1000XG | |
| 2 | Unclip and remove cover (1). | ||
| 3 | Unclip and remove cover (2) in direction of arrow. | ||
| 4 | Push back foam rubber grommet (3). | Completely install foam rubber grommet (3) over electrical connector (4). Otherwise noise can occur. |

| 5 | Disconnect the electrical connector (4). | ||
| 6 | Detach duct tape (5). | ||
| 7 | Turn inside rearview mirror (A67) at mirror base (6) toward right using an open-end wrench (7) and remove from mirror bracket. | ||
| 8 | Adjust reading lamps of inside rearview mirror (A67) to steering variant. | When replacing inside rearview mirror (A67). | AR68.40-P-0001-01XG |
| 9 | Install in reverse order. |
