Remove/Install Washer Fluid Reservoir Of Windshield Washer System - AR82.35-P-6000XG

  Risk of fire and explosion  caused by ignition of window washing fluid or antifreeze and their vapors. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing window washing fluid or antifreeze or inhaling their vapors. Risk of injury  or physical irritations caused by contact of window washing fluid or antifreeze with eyes, mucous membranes or skin. Wear protective clothing and tight-fitting safety glasses. No open flames, fire or ignition sources. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. When working with window washing fluids or antifreeze, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Do not inhale vapors and ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. Store window washing fluid and antifreeze leakfree in safely closed original containers and out of the reach of children. REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Disconnect top filler pipe from filler neck (1).   AR82.35-P-6007XG 
2 Remove fender liner in front fender (2) on left side of vehicle.   AR88.10-P-1300XG
3 Expose electrical wiring harness (3) until the screws (4) are accessible.    
4 Remove the screws (4).    
5 Unclip the piping and electrical wiring harnesses fastened to the holder (5) and expose until the holder (5) can be removed in a subsequent operation step.    
6 Remove screws (6) on front and rear of washer fluid reservoir (7).    
7 Lift washer fluid reservoir (7), release upwards from catch hook (7.1) and lower downwards until the electrical connector (8) is accessible. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Ensure catch hook (7.1) is correctly seated.  
8 Disconnect electrical connector (8) on windshield washer system washer fluid level switch (S42).    
9 Remove wiring harnesses of electrical connectors (9) from washer fluid reservoir (7).    
10 Remove washer fluid hoses (10) from washer fluid reservoir (7).    
11 Remove windshield washer system pump (M5/1) and headlamp cleaning system pump (M5/2) from washer fluid reservoir (7). IMPORTANTRemoval  : Collect escaping water with a suitable container.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Check seal of windshield washer system pump (M5/1) or headlamp cleaning system pump (M5/2) for damage.
If the seals are damaged.

Replace respective seal.
 
12 Release sealing boot at filler pipe (11); detach and remove filler pipe (11) from washer fluid reservoir (7). IMPORTANT Collect escaping washer fluid in a suitable vessel.  
13 Lower washer fluid reservoir (7) downwards and remove. IMPORTANT Collect escaping washer fluid in a suitable vessel.  
14 Drain existing washer fluid from the washer fluid reservoir (7) into a suitable container.    
15 Remove windshield washer system washer fluid level switch (S42) from washer fluid reservoir (7). When replacing the washer fluid reservoir (7). AR82.35-P-6005XG 
16 Remove holder (5) from washer fluid reservoir (7). When replacing the washer fluid reservoir (7).  
17 Install in reverse order.    
18 Correct fluid level of windshield washer system.
