Clamping Rear Spring - AR32.20-P-0200-06LW

IMPORTANT Use the following special tools:

SPECIAL TOOL Tensioning device (08) (202 589 02 31 00)

Model 205 (except 205.386/387/486/487), 213.0/1

except code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension)

Model 238

  1. Install clamping plates (06, 07) in rear axle springs (1).

    IMPORTANT Insert the clamping plates (06, 07) in such a way that as many spring coils as possible can be pre-compressed.

  2. Insert tensioning device (08) from below through spring control arm (4) into clamping plates (06, 07) and lock in clamping plate (06).

    NOTES Make sure that the tensioning device (08) is seated correctly in the clamping plate (06) (arrows).

    Otherwise they may slip off.

  3. Only tension rear axle spring (1) far enough to enable it to be removed.

    NOTES Do not use an impact wrench.

    Otherwise, the tensioning device (08) or the rear axle spring (1) may be damaged.
