	Remove
1	Detach propeller shaft (2) from joint flange (3) of rear axle differential (1) and secure by suitable means to prevent it from falling.		AR41.10-P-0050LW
	Measure
2	Measure friction torque on drive pinion and note down.		AR35.31-P-0530-04CWC

4	Pry radial shaft sealing ring (5) out of rear axle differential (1) using suitable tool.	Do not damage the sitting surface of the radial shaft sealing ring (5). Otherwise leaks will occur at the rear axle differential (1).
	Clean
5	Clean seat of radial shaft sealing ring (5) in rear axle differential (1) using a clean, lint-free rag and assembly cleaner.	The seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (5) in the rear axle differential (1) must be free of oil and dirt. Otherwise leaks will occur at the rear axle differential (1). Assembly cleaner must not enter the rear axle differential (1). Otherwise the rear axle differential (1) will be damaged. Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
	Check
6	Check seat of radial shaft sealing ring (5) in rear axle differential (1) for damage.	If damage is found, ↓ Replace rear axle differential (1). Transmission 725.0 in model 213 (except 213.088/089/288/289) with code 700 (Vehicle production location China)	AR35.31-P-0522OLC
	Install
7	Apply universal hypoid gear oil to sealing lip of new radial shaft sealing ring (5).
	Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7)		BB00.40-P-0235-07A
8	Install new radial shaft sealing ring (5) in rear axle differential (1) using drift.	Drift	Fig 6
9	Adjust friction torque of drive pinion bearing.	It is essential to perform all operation steps listed in the description and to observe all instructions. Otherwise there will be noise development and damage to the rear axle differential (1).	AR35.31-P-0550-17CWC
