| 3 | Remove engine cover (1). | ||
| 4 | Remove engine air intake duct (2). | ||
| 5 | Unhook coolant hose (3) from brackets and push to one side. | ||
| 6 | Remove screw (4) and push coolant line (5) to one side. | ||
| 7 | Disconnect electrical connection (6). | ||
| 8 | Disconnect high-voltage plug (7). | ||
| 9 | Remove screw (8), detach high-pressure line from electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5) and seal openings. | Fig 2 | |

| 10 | Remove screw (9), detach low-pressure line from electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5) and seal openings. | Fig 2 | |

| 12 | Unscrew bolts (10). | ||
| 13 | Secure electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5) against falling down and remove screw (11). | ||
| 14 | Lower vehicle. | ||
| 15 | Remove electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5) from above from engine compartment. | ||
| Install | |||
| 16 | Insert electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5) from above into engine compartment and secure against falling down. | Carefully insert electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5). Otherwise adjacent components may be damaged. |

| 17 | Raise vehicle. | ||
| 18 | Position electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5) and screw in screw (11). | *BA83.55-P-1001-01M | |
| 19 | Screw in screws (10). | *BA83.55-P-1001-01M | |
| 20 | Lower vehicle. | ||
| 21 | Remove protective cover and replace sealing ring of low-pressure line. | ||
| 22 | Attach low-pressure line to electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5) and screw in screw (9). | *BA83.55-P-1003-01M | |
| 23 | Remove protective cover and replace sealing ring of high-pressure line. | ||
| 24 | Attach high-pressure line to electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5) and screw in screw (8). | *BA83.55-P-1003-01M | |
| 25 | Check receiver drier for re-usability. | If there are problems, ↓ Replace drier cartridge. Model 213.050/053/054/153/155/253 except code 1U6 (R744 refrigerant) |
