	Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.	Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out ol the hazard area.	AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts	Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts. Deburr repair panels.	AS00.00-Z-0017-01A

	Remove/install
1	Remove underfloor paneling	Engine 274.9, 276 in model 205.4
			AR61.30-P-1001LW
2	Release longitudinal member panels and press aside	Engine 274.9, 276 in model 205.4
			AR88.80-P-6000LW
3	Remove rear-end floor cover	Engine 274.9, 276 in model 205.4
4	Remove rear diagonal struts	Engine 274.9, 276 in model 205.4
		Bolt, rear diagonal strut to spare wheel well/body	*BA61.10-P-1008-01L
5	Support rear mufflers (3)

	000 588 10 62 00 Support plate		WS26.00-P-3309B
6	Release and disconnect electrical connection at exhaust flap (5)	Engine 274.9, 276 in model 205 with code U21 (AMG Performance exhaust system)
7	Remove elastomer bearings (4) of rear mufflers (3)
8	Take off clamp (2)	: Replace clamp (2).
		Clamp, rear exhaust system to front exhaust system/rear exhaust system	*BA49.10-P-1011-02A
9	Remove rear mufflers (3)
10	Separate rear mufflers (3) at separation point (t) with tube cutter	When replacing left or right rear muffler (3). : Connect rear mufflers (3) with clamp.
		Clamp, rear exhaust system to front exhaust system/rear exhaust system	*BA49.10-P-1011-02A
	Check
11	Check elastomer bearing (4) for wear and damage; replace if necessary
	Clean
12	Remove combustion and corrosion residues at separation points of center exhaust system (1) and rear mufflers (3)
13	Install in the reverse order
14	Check installation position and unobstructed movement of rear mufflers (3), and correct if necessary
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
15	Carry out an engine test run and check exhaust system for leaktightness
