	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts	Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts. Deburr repair panels.	AS00.00-Z-0017-01A

	Remove
1	Release and disconnect electrical connection (6) at valve (5)	Engine 276.853 in model 213
2	Support rear muffler (1) 000 588 11 62 00 Major assembly mount		WS01.00-P-0092B
	000 588 10 62 00 Support plate		WS26.00-P-3309B
3	Disconnect rear muffler (1) at connecting points (t)	If no clamps are installed.
4	Detach rear muffler (1) at clamp from rear muffler (2)	If there is a clamp installed.
5	Detach rear muffler (1) at clamp (22) from center exhaust system	Engine 276.8 in model 238
6	Remove rear muffler (1) from elastomer bearing (3)
7	Drain off and remove rear muffler (1) 000 588 11 62 00 Major assembly mount		WS26.00-P-3309B
	000 588 10 62 00 Support plate		WS26.00-P-3309B
8	Remove combustion and corrosion residue at separating points
9	Deburr cutting edges on the connecting points and clean	If there was no clamp present.
10	Check elastomer bearings (3) for damage	If the elastomer bearing (3) is damaged ↓ Replace elastomer bearing (3).
11	Check the holder of the rear muffler (1) for damage	In case of damage to the holder ↓ Replace holder.
12	Replace sealing ring of connecting point	Engine 276.8 in model 238
	Install
13	Position clamp on center exhaust systems	If there was no clamp installed.
14	Position rear muffler (1) and support 000 588 11 62 00 Major assembly mount		WS01.00-P-0092B
	000 588 10 62 00 Support plate		WS26.00-P-3309B
15	Detach elastomer bearing (3) on rear muffler (1)
16	Fasten rear muffler (1) at center exhaust system with new clamp (22)	Engine 276.8 in model 238
		Clamp, front exhaust system to rear muffler	*BA49.10-P-1003-02I
17	Fasten rear muffler (1) at center exhaust system with new clamp	Engine 276.8 in model 213

19	Release and disconnect electrical connection (6) on valve (5)	Engine 276.853 in model 213
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
20	Perform an engine test run and check exhaust system for leaktightness
