The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side of the vehicle.
- Clean contact surface of door sill in hatched area.
- Pull off carrier foils (8) from front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47).
Note guides (9) during installation.
- Position illuminated door sill molding at front left (E17/47) onto longitudinal member and uniformly press on.
- Connect black, 2-pin connector socket (12) of illuminated door sill molding at front left (E17/47) to black, 2-pin plug (2.9) of branch-off line for illuminated door sill molding at front left (2.1).
- Clip electrical connector into bracket on cable duct.
- Route electrical line of front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) over body flange on longitudinal member, and fix in place with duct tape (11).
