- Check rear stationary element (2) for damage.
Replace if damaged.
- Install cup suction tool on stationary rear element (2) and lay stationary rear element (2) down to suitable subsurface with inside pointing upward.
- Cut down present adhesive beads (1) on stationary rear element (2) to a remaining height of approx. 1 to 2 mm using scraper.
If stationary rear element (2) is reused.
- Completely cut back residues of spacers and adhesive beads (1) present in this area.
If stationary rear element (2) is reused.
- Remove cutting residues using a wet and dry vacuum cleaner.
If stationary rear element (2) is reused.
- Apply cleaner with part of cleaning cloth to bonding surfaces (1) on inside of stationary rear element (2) and wipe with other part of cleaning cloth.
The cleaner is included in the repair kit.
Allow cleaner to dry completely.
- Uniformly apply primer uniformly to bonding surfaces (1) on inside of stationary rear element (2).
Do not apply primer to uncoated field (3).
This primer layer remains visible after installation.
When reusing stationary rear element (2) apply primer only to bonding surfaces (1) without remaining adhesive material.
The primer is included in the repair kit.
