Cut Out Panoramic Sliding Roof Frame - AR77.21-P-0801-01LWE

  1. Cover front roller sun blind with clean rag.

    If panoramic sliding roof frame is reused.

    NOTES Do not soil roller sun blind when removing.

    Always replace soiled roller sun blind.

  2. Unscrew bolts (2) on left and right front mounting console (1) and remove mounting consoles (1).
  3. Unscrew bolts (4) on left and right stepped wedge (3) and remove stepped wedges (3).

  4. Remove electrical wiring harness (6) from basic carrier (7).
  5. Unscrew bolts (5) from basic carrier (7).

  6. Determine dimensions (A and B) with SPECIAL TOOL feeler gauge on left and right side of vehicle between panoramic sliding roof frame (8) and front roof rack mount (9) and note.

  7. Protect adjacent pain surfaces against damage with SPECIAL TOOL shield plates and duct tape.

    NOTES Cover adjacent paint surfaces with SPECIAL TOOL shields when cutting.

    Otherwise the paint can be damaged.

  8. Cut adhesive bead (11) on panoramic sliding roof (8) starting at outside using multicutter and SPECIAL TOOL cutting blade.
  9. Lift rear area of panoramic sliding roof frame (8) with SPECIAL TOOL assembly wedge (13).
  10. Guide cutting wire (12) as shown from outside between panoramic sliding roof frame (8) and center roof frame (14).

    IMPORTANT Helper required.

  11. Cut side adhesive beads (15) in direction of arrow (arrows A) with cutting wire.
  12. Guide cutting wire in area (B) from outside toward inside.

    IMPORTANT Helper required.

  13. Guide cutting wire in area (C) below panoramic sliding roof frame (8).
  14. Cut front adhesive beads (15) from left to right with cutting wire.

    NOTES Ensure that the inner components of the panoramic sliding roof frame (8) are not damaged.

    Otherwise the panoramic sliding roof frame (8) must be replaced.

  15. Remove panoramic sliding roof frame (8).

    IMPORTANT Helper required.
