	Remove/install
1.1	Switch off ignition.	Model 205, 213, 238, 253, 293 except code U67 (230 V socket in interior compartment) except code U80 (115 V socket)
1.2	Disconnect ground line from battery.	Model 205, 213, 238, 253, 293 with code U67 (230 V socket in interior compartment) Model 205, 213, 238, 253, 293 with code U80 (115 V socket)

2.1	Open cover (2) on center console (3).	Model 205, 213 (except 213.1), 238, 253, 293
2.2	Disengage seat cushion in the rear passenger compartment at the front, lift, and remove stowage box/tray between the seat cushion and center console (3).	Model 213.1
		Model 213.1 except code 248 (Rear seat with integrated child seat)	AR91.12-P-1020LW
3	Place cover in stowage compartment (8) of center console (3) to one side and remove screw (9).	Model 213 (except 213.1), 238 with transmission 725
4	Unclip cover (1) at the top from the center console (3) (arrow A).	Ensure that retaining clips (4) arrest securely.
5	Move cover (1) upward toward the rear out of the center console (3) (arrow B) at an angle of approx. 450.	Install cover (1) into center console (3) together with guides (6).
6	Disconnect electrical connectors (5).	The number varies according to the vehicle equipment.
7	Disconnect electrical connector (7) at rear climate control operating unit (N22/4).	Model 205, 213, 238, 253, 293 with code 581 (Automatic air conditioning)
8	Install in the reverse order
