| 1 | Remove warning triangle from warning triangle bracket (5). | ||
| 2 | Remove warning triangle bracket (5). | ||
| 3 | Remove hinge covers (2). | ||
| 4 | Unclip retaining clips (19) and release trim (20) until electrical connectors can be accessed. | Fig 1 | |
| 5 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors of ambient lamp and warning lamp (6). | Model 205.3 up to model year 2020 |

| 6 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors of trunk lid/tailgate control button (25). | Model 205.3 with code 460 (Canada version) with code 494 (US version) |

| 7 | Remove trim (20). | ||
| 8 | Remove stop buffers (22). | ||
| 9 | Unclip retaining clips (23) and remove trim (24). | Fig 1 | |
| 10 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

| 11 | Unscrew stop buffers (22) until trunk lid rests on stop buffers (22) in closed condition. |
