Disconnect electrical connector
If the bracket (1), connector (2) or connector locking mechanism is damaged, it is essential to replace the damaged parts. The connector (2) can otherwise become detached from the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4).
- Remove cap of connector.
- Open the connector locking mechanism; to do this, press both release buttons (1e) carefully from the bottom upwards.
Do not use tools. Do not open the snap-in bracket (1n).
- Swivel bracket (1) upwards approx. 90°.
The connector (2) is pushed slightly out of the jack (3) on the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4).
- Pull connector (2) out of jack (3).
When doing so, do not grip the connector (2) by the bracket (1). The bracket (1) and connector locking mechanism can otherwise be damaged.
- Swivel bracket (1) downwards until the connector locking mechanism latches.
Connect electrical connector
- Open the connector locking mechanism; to do this, press both release buttons (1e) carefully from the bottom upwards.
Do not use tools. Do not open the snap-in bracket (1n).
- Swivel bracket (1) upwards approx. 90°.
- Insert connector (2) into jack (3) on Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4) until connector makes contact evenly along its entire length with base of jack (3).
When doing so, do not grip the connector (2) by the bracket (1). The bracket (1) and connector locking mechanism can otherwise be damaged.
- Swivel bracket (1) downwards until the connector locking mechanism latches.
The connector (2) is drawn into its end position and locked.
- Attach cap of connector.
